The International Relations and Global Studies Council (IRG Council) at the University of Texas at Austin seeks to support students of the International Relations and Global Studies major and to give them the tools they need to thrive, innovate, and change our world for the better. IRG Council aims to promote career development and exploration for IRG majors by disseminating opportunities such as resume workshops, webinars, information sessions, and alumni panels.
In addition to sharing resources such as study hours, scholarships, track-related events, and study abroad guidance, IRG Council also serves as a channel of communication between the major, the IRG department, and the College of Liberal Arts.
We strive to create an energetic, inclusive, and robust community within the IRG major by hosting numerous social events every month and creating an avenue for peer mentorship.
